Ceylon Holiday Guide (https://ceylonholidayguide.com) is an independent travel publication about Sri Lanka. It exists because the useful answers about travelling here — how long the train really takes, which coast is dry in July, what a day actually costs — are usually scattered across old forum threads and tour-brochure pages.
What we publish
Destinations, attractions, experiences, itineraries, routes and long-form guides — each written to answer a real planning question, with a quick answer at the top and the detail underneath.
How we verify
Every factual page carries a last-verified date. Entry requirements, train information, park fees and opening times are re-checked against official sources every 90 days; weather guidance every 180 days; everything else annually. Where we cannot verify something — an entrance fee, a current opening time — the page says so rather than repeating an unconfirmed number.
Preferred sources: Sri Lanka Tourism, the ETA portal, the Department of Immigration and Emigration, Sri Lanka Railways, the Department of Wildlife Conservation, the Department of Meteorology, the airport authority, and foreign-government travel advice from the UK FCDO and Australia's Smartraveller.
Who pays for this
This site carries no advertising and no paid placements today. If partnerships — accommodation, transport, insurance, eSIM, activities — are introduced, they will be labelled clearly and will never change what a page concludes.
